This is a natural part of the life cycle of the butterflies in the sanctuary and signifies the completion of the journey from egg to butterfly.
Witness butterflies take their first flight at our daily butterfly release at approximately 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Each release is just $25.00 per butterfly, but space is limited, so book your spot now.

Our butterflies are all hand raised on the premises; when you order butterflies for release, we raise them especially for your occasion, for smaller butterfly releases (less than 20) we need 2 weeks’ notice, for larger releases we need up to 6 weeks’ notice.
We are unable to provide Ulysses or Cairns Birdwings for release as they are a protected species. We provide butterflies for release in Far North Queensland only.
