Welcome to Cairns
About Kuranda
The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is located in Kuranda village which is a vibrant and picturesque mountain retreat just 25 kilometres northwest of Cairns and is surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest. Historic buildings from the village’s past now house a variety of upmarket restaurants, cafes and bars. It is still laid back, but with a style and sophistication that sets it apart from other venues and attractions in the region. There is so much to do in Cairns, Kuranda and its surrounds. Why not book a tour with Tropic Wings Cairns Tours & Charters and explore the region. You can also visit our other wildlife nature parks including Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda and Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas.
